Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut has the highest CS:GO player rating of all-time. The French superstar has maintained a 1.27 HLTV rating over the course of his career, which is 0.03 higher than second-place Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
Most total kills
The player with the most kills in CS:GO is Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski. He managed to beat Jesper “JW” Wecksell for the record in the last possible moment. In late August 2023, Snax reached a record-setting 43,531 total CS:GO kills, moving past JW’s 43,506 kills.
Most total assists
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist has the most assists in CS:GO history, with 9,882. Flusha and long-time teammate Jesper “JW” Wecksell were holders of the records for most assists and most kills in CS:GO history for a long time before JW lost his record to Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski.
Most damage per round
The player who’s dealt the most damage per round in his CS:GO career is Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson. Fifflaren inflicted 91.7 damage per round to enemies during his 26 months of pro play, all of whom he spent with Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Most rounds with at least one kill
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has gotten at least one kill in 54.0 percent of the rounds he’s played during his CS:GO career. That’s 1.1 percent higher than CS:GO’s other prodigy, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. S1mple also holds a narrow advantage over ZywOo in kills per round, 0.85 to 0.84.
Highest headshot percentage
Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom got famous for his headshot flicks, and for once, the hype was real. ScreaM holds the record for the highest CS:GO headshot percentage, at 68.1 percent in 1,428 maps played. No other player in the top seven has played more than 650 maps.
Most total AWP kills
The most prolific AWPer in CS:GO history is Kenny “kennyS” Schrub. Of his 39,361 total kills, 20,488 came with the AWP. KennyS is one of two players with 20,000+ AWP kills in professional CS:GO.
Most Major appearances
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen is the only player that has played in each of the 19 CS:GO Majors, which automatically makes him the player with the most CS:GO Major appearances. No other player has attended more than 17 Majors.
Most Majors won
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen is the player with the most CS:GO Major titles. He won five Majors, four with Astralis and one with Vitality. Dupreeh triumphed at ELEAGUE Major Atlanta, FACEIT Major London, IEM Katowice 2019, and StarLadder Berlin while at Astralis, and won BLAST Paris Major, the last CS:GO Major ever, with Vitality.
Most MVP awards
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has earned the most CS:GO tournament MVP awards. S1mple’s 21 MVPs narrowly beat out Nicolai “device” Reedtz’ 19 awards. The difference maker are the two MVP awards s1mple got for events in which his team lost to device’s Astralis in the final.
Most maps played
Kamen “bubble” Kostadinov played professional CS:GO for over a decade, and he has the ultimate longevity record to show for it. Bubble’s 2,391 maps played are the most in CS:GO for a player, or a team. Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas’s 2023 retirement left him at 2,385 maps, a number overtaken by bubble shortly after.
Most clutches won
The most composed man in the CS:GO universe is Timo “Spiidi” Richter. Spiidi has won the most clutches in CS:GO. His record stands at 838 successful clutches, which is 16 more than the Clutch Minister himself, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth.
Most prize money won
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen’s high success rate and incredible longevity has turned him into the most profitable man in professional CS:GO. Dupreeh has earned $2,198,884 in CS:GO prize money, nearly $200,000 more than his long-time teammate Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, who’s the only other player to make over $2 million from CS:GO prize money.
Most time with one team
No player has more history with a single CS:GO team than Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson. Despite his two-month fling with GODSENT in 2016, KRIMZ has spent just under nine years as a member of fnatic. That’s the longest time any CS:GO player has played for one team. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski holds the record for the longest uninterrupted tenure with a single organization, having played 8 years and 3 months for Team Liquid.
Most kills in a match
No one has killed more enemies over the course of a single CS:GO match than Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. ZywOo finished with 143 kills and 93 deaths in the ESL Pro League Season 16 final, where his team Vitality defeated Liquid 3-2. ZywOo had 32 combined kills on the first two maps of the match and an average of 37 kills on the last three maps.
Most aces in a tournament
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is capable of amazing things when it comes to CS:GO. S1mple had four aces at IEM Cologne 2021 to set a record for the most aces in the course of a single CS:GO event. Two of those came in the same match vs. Astralis, Renegades and G2 got away with just a single s1mple ace.
Most Top 20 selections
The player with the most appearances in HLTV’s annual Top 20 list is Nicolai “device” Reedtz. Device was a Top 20 player 8 years in a row from 2014 to 2021, cracking the top five on six occasions. His teammates Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth actually made the first ever CS:GO Top 20 in 2013, but stopped at 7 and 4 selections, respectively.
